U Comment I Follow

Today I Proudly announce that this blog has become a part of do follow blogs. Let me explain a little. There has been a U Comment I Follow movement going on on the interent for quite sometime. When I say my blog is do follow, it means that I have put a code in my blog which allows readers who comment on the posts to get a backlink from my blog. Comments on Blogger blogs are set to "No Follow" by default. This is done to block spams.
What do you gain by turning off "nofollow" and making your blog as do follow? When you change the code in your blog template from no follow to do follow, you show your love to other bloggers. If someone leaves a comment on this blog, s/he will get a backlink from this pr2 blog( for free). In return what will I get? Well,if people become aware that this is a do follow blog, then they would like to visit more often to leave comments. So its a win-win situation for both the blogger and the reader.
How can you Set your Blog to a Do Follow mode?
When you write a post on blogger platform, you might have noticed a blue link just under the editor Post Options. When you click at post options, the editor will ask you to allow/ not allow reader comments and backlinks. Mererly setting the option to Yes doesn't makes your blog as do follow blog. It only means that you are allowing comments for this particular post.
Go to your blog's layout>edit html>expand widget.
Find the code :
Agreed that there is a chance that spammers will abuse U comment I follow blogs, but I always had comment moderation on all of my blogs, I will continue to have this choice for publishing only the genuine comments.
You can get more information about U comment and I follow at Blogger Widgets

Welcome to the Dofollow Movement. Any way to minimize spamming, you can use a plugin which only give link love to commentators with certain number of comments.

As per the your comment on removing no follow attribute in comments column.. it might have getting a chance of spaming.. in SEO point of view you are giving your valuable links to useless web pages… so don’t remove nofollow attribute from your comment and you can implement it to anyother place…

Thanks for joining the 'Do Follow' crew! Also, thanks for explaining how to turn a Blogger blog into a Do Follow team player. I hope to convince my Blogger pals to join the crew with us.

The "u comment, i follow" movement is great. A good blog comes from a good moderator. No follow was created to combat spam but this can be moderated. Long live do follow links!

I have been debating rather or not to make my blog a do follow but I did not really see the benefit I would get until your post. I guess we should all share the love! Get visitors and get backlinks!

I didn't know there was a movement. I just installed a WP plugin on my site to remove the nofollow. I think it only removes it after a certain number of posts, though.

I think you actually cleared my concept of do-follow blogs & their advantage to me right with your post. Thanks for sharing!I think do follow blogs not only serve commenters by giving them a back link, but they also help the blog owner to attract more & more people to their post.So it is advatageous in both ways.

I have been thinking about adding this plugin as well.. Just not sure if it will increase spam.. what do you all think?

I think as long as people are genuine and actually try and contribute to the article instead of just spamming to get backlinks to their site, then do-follow is a really good move to take to be honest! :)

But I heard that Google will punish our blogs if we use dofollow tags. What should I do now?

Some purist believe that one should be willing to comment on a blog based purely on their interest in the subject and desire to express themselves. Ha! In a perfect world.
You are a kind soul that obviously believes in the win/win philosophy and I applaud you for it!

Stumbled to your site while browsing some dofollow blogs. Its really nice to know that more of us (bloggers) are really getting into the dofollow community. Having a dofollow blog is a way of saying "thanks" to our valued reader and commentators.

Think I'll give this a shot then!

Have you tried out a bissell steam cleaner like the Bissell Big Green Machine or the Bissell ProHeat 2x Deep Cleaner ? They're really great!

Nowadays I see both bloggers and readers more concerned about the dofollow attribute. It helps both of them in increasing the traffic and backlinks of the site. This results in good page rank too.
Thanks for sharing useful information here.
